I’m looking forward to watching this as I was somewhat deceived by the trailer into thinking that it is a kids superhero movie but from what I have heard the violence and blood leave no doubts about whether this is family fare or not. Great review Jon! A few more weeks till the street date for this one.

I wouldn’t have thought so. He was said to be rather bored with the mundane act of filming as he had already made the film in his head and on a storyboard, so he moved on pretty quick.

I think you are right, I don’t think he had much of a choice in the matter, I wonder if he ever looked back and thought that it should have been set in England.

Haha! Just coincidence. Catching up on posting a few older reviews.

I think this is Hitchcock’s most English American film, if that makes any sense, and it would have been that much better setting it in England, but he was on the cusp of his finest period so I doubt he’d have abandoned the States even if he wanted to at that moment.

Thanks for taking the time to reply! I’ve always liked Nicholas Cage, but you have to like his character to enjoy a lot of his movies. The key here is that he is a supporting character, albeit a very important one and he never seems to take over. Plus, I hadn’t realised before reading in another review, but he seems to be channelling Adam West and it really works!

Thank you for a great review. I typically avoid anything with Nicolas Cage. Of my 1500+ movies I have 1 with him in it, and that was a gift. With that said, based on your review I will be adding this to my collection when it is released on Blu-ray.

I know you take your films seriously and to give a 5 out of 5 it really must be that good!
